HR Director Takes Home Highest Honor
The Supernova Award is our company’s highest individual honor each year. The individual on the leadership team receives votes from their colleagues as the community’s Supernova based on various criteria.
The criteria that the Executive Team bases the nomination on upholding our company’s mission to be caring professionals dedicated to quality services lead positively with integrity, take accountability, put the team before themselves, and embody the company’s vision to create communities where people live longer, healthier, and happier lives. The team member who stands out from the rest receives its prestigious Supernova Award from our Executive Team at the Senior Living Communities Annual Meeting Purple Gala Awards Ceremony!
This year, we are proud to congratulate our Human Resource Director, Sydney McNairy, as the recipient of the 2023 Summit Hills Supernova Award. Sydney is the heartbeat of the community. She welcomes new Team Members with open arms and dedicates herself to all Team Members’ career paths, benefits management, and work health.
When Sydney started at Summit Hills, she had no idea what a journey she was beginning. She started as a concierge, where she quickly realized she would be able to grow within the company. She was promoted to administrative assistant in 2021 to assist the HR Director, Business Office Manager in early 2022, and then to HR Director at the end of 2022. To be voted for by her teammates, who have been there for her through it all, means the world to her.
