As a continuing care retirement community, often referred to as a CCRC, Summit Hills offers a fully array of Care Services. This means that in addition to Independent Living, we provide Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. At our community, you can rest assured that your loved one is receiving the highest quality care. Summit Hills is staffed with caregivers and team members who live by the golden rule: “Treat others as you wish to be treated.”
Continuum of Care
One Decision. One Roof.
We say “One Decision. One Roof” because when you decide to move into Summit Hills, whether it be through Independent Living or a Care Service program, you are moving into a community that has everything you need now and in the future. Members love this because it means they never have to go through a move again. Care Services are ideal for seniors who need additional care that is not available through Independent Living. Members can start in Independent Living and transition to Care Services if the need arises, or they can move directly into a Care Service program.

Assisted Living
Improving quality of life
Summit Hills’ Assisted Living in Spartanburg, SC is available to seniors with a wide variety of needs. Each Member of our program has a personalized plan tailored to them—whether they need a lot of assistance or a little bit of help here and there. To promote the well-being of our Members, our Assisted Living program focuses on independence. Members go about their daily lives enjoying our social and wellness programs, eating at our restaurant-style dining room, and doing what makes them happy! The main lifestyle difference is that they no longer have to worry about difficult daily tasks holding them back.
Memory Care
We know how difficult it can be having a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia, which is why Summit Hills offers person-centered Memory Care in Spartanburg that focuses on family engagement. The goal of our Memory Care program is to keep Members engaged socially, mentally and physically in a safe and caring environment. We’ve created a welcoming community that encourages friends and family to visit, and visit often. At Summit Hills, a robust social atmosphere paired with daily mental stimulation and wellness exercises creates a happy, dignified and low-stress lifestyle for Memory Care residents.
Skilled Nursing
Whether it be from what you’ve seen or heard in the media or through a personal experience, you may not have a positive association with the term “nursing home.” We understand, because we’ve heard all the same stories. Thankfully, Spartanburg Skilled Nursing at Summit Hills is far from the typical nursing home experience. Our facilities are high-end and elegant. Our care is person-centered and forward-thinking. Round-the-clock care is provided by a team of dedicated medical professionals, ensuring that your loved one is taken care of. We hear from Members and their families all the time: “I can’t believe this is a nursing home!” And that means we’re doing something right.
Rehab
Short-Term Rehab at Summit Hills provides industry leading outcomes for seniors needing help in their recovery process after surgery or illness. Through our partnership with Broad River Rehab Services, we offer the best in physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Our Rehab center treats patients with a variety of conditions and is available to both Members of our community as well as outside guests.
